Our yoga classes will be small and geared towards all levels. If you have never tried a class because you felt too intimated or you are not very flexible or worried that you wouldn’t be able to bend like a pretzel, then let me put your fears to rest, this is a space where you can come and learn how to do yoga without being flexible. There are no mirrors in our facility. We don’t want you focusing on your pose or what you look like but rather how you feel. Our motto is, “if you can breathe, you can do yoga”.

so everyone can feel successful

We practice at a comfortable room temperature so you won’t get over-heated. We offer Hatha and Flow style classes which is gentle stretching and poses that move at everyone’s individual pace. We will also offer our signature candlelight yoga.  

If you have trouble getting down on the floor, no problem we have chairs and can modify the practice for you. If you have injuries or special considerations, no problem. Let us know in advance of class and we will accommodate you as best as we can. If you are a plus size person, no problem let us work with you to make you feel safe and comfortable practicing yoga.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that focusses on physical health as well as mental wellbeing. Postures are held and the class moves at a gentle pace which is great for beginners, people with injuries or those just wanting a gentler practice.

This Class is for you if: If you have never done yoga before or have been absent from practice for a while then this class would be a good starting point. Pre and post-natal ladies are welcome and postures will be provided so you can safely practice

Restorative

Rest, Restore, Re-energize: You will be invited to find a restful position using props such as blankets, pillows & bolsters. In this state of deep relaxation, your body will be able to restore its natural equilibrium, re-energizing you for the rest of your day. This form of yoga is extremely relaxing and moves at a gentle pace.

 

This Class is for you ifYou are working through acute or chronic injuries, need to manage your stress, working with trauma-related issues or just want to participate in a gentle practice.

Candlelight Yoga

This is one of Smiling Hearts Yoga & Fitness signature classes. During our candlelight yoga practice, you will move through a combination of a gentle poses with a bit of flow ending in a luxurious stretch and relaxation, all done in the soft glow of candlelight with peaceful music to guide you.

Yin/Deep Stretch

Yin yoga targets the connective tissues such as ligaments and fascia, along with the energetic systems of the body, bringing the body into balance and increasing its natural range of motion. 

This class is for you if…you are recovering from an injury, habitual posture of daily living & aging which decreases connective tissue. Your body will love you for it!

Flow Yoga

What you will experience during a flow yoga class (also known as Vinyasa Flow) is movement that gracefully moves from pose to another. Some poses will be held for longer giving you the opportunity to build strength and endurance while building your flexibility.

This Class is for you ifAll levels are welcome and modifications will be provided to ensure you have a great experience. Note: If you are unable to get up and down off the floor then this class would not be for you.

Prenatal Pilates/Yoga

This 45-minute class will help you adjust to the changes you are experiencing while pregnant which includes easing low back discomfort and preparing you for labour and delivery. We will utilize a unique blend of gentle balancing exercises, Pilates mat movements, and yoga poses all designed to safely lengthen and strengthen your body during pregnancy while emphasizing proper alignment and breath.

This class is suitable for all levels. Max 6 people

Little Hearts (Virtual)Yoga

If you cannot come to us, we will come to you. Perfect for parents who are homeschooling this fall or looking for a safe activity to do with their children at home.

Join teacher Bailey as she guides you through a 45-minute fun and interactive yoga class delivered in the comfort of your own living room.

  You and your child or children will learn fun ways practice yoga both on and off the mat with activities like Toega (yoga for your toes) and pompom putt putt (a super fun breathing exercise). You will sing and dance our way to the Secret Garden (the Little Heart version of meditation or shivasana) where you can rest and relax.

The program includes a few crafts which will be delivered to your door.

Suitable for ages 3-7 years old.
